Ms. Bolanle Onagoruwa – Director

Ms. Bolanle Onagoruwa is a highly accomplished legal practitioner with vast experience spanning commercial law, public sector reform, and corporate governance. She currently serves as the Group Managing Director of ENL Consortium Limited, where she oversees operations across Abuja and the Southwest, managing key interests in port management, estate development, road construction, and mining.

Her career journey began in commercial legal practice with Bentley, Edu & Co., after which she served as Legal Counsel at the Nigerian Industrial Development Bank. She later became Company Secretary/Legal Adviser and Abuja Branch Head at Midas Merchant Bank, playing a pivotal role in corporate governance and financial services law.

Ms. Onagoruwa transitioned into the public sector, where she dedicated 12 years to the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE), actively contributing to Nigeria’s privatization and public sector reform agenda. She also held strategic roles in the Federal Capital Territory Administration, serving as Secretary of Social Development and Secretary of Education before retiring in 2012 as the Director-General of BPE.

Post-retirement, she took on the role of Acting Managing Director of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company, before joining ENL Consortium Limited.

In addition to her executive leadership, Ms. Onagoruwa has served on the Board of Directors of several organizations, including Cashville Investments & Securities Limited. She is currently an Independent Non-Executive Director of Transcorp Hotels Plc and previously held the same role at NOVA Merchant Bank.

She holds an LL.B from the University of Lagos and a Postgraduate Diploma in Politics and International Relations from the University of Kent, Canterbury. She is also an alumna of Harvard Business School’s General Management Program.

With her wealth of experience in law, finance, and governance, Ms. Onagoruwa continues to make significant contributions to both the public and private sectors in Nigeria.
